FREE RANGE HUMAN, LLC (FRH) is an organization dedicated to developing more fit, skillful, and independent people. By improving levels of fitness using skill-based movement training, clients will experience a better-looking and functioning body. With an emphasis on proper technique and safety, clients will increase their ease of movement and efficiency while reducing injury potential during daily activities.
Each client will be taken through assessments of physical skills and abilities, learning preferences, and goal-setting in order to create a more effective, personalized program. FRH helps clients achieve a wide range of goals with consistent participation and a willingness to expand personal boundaries. Some of the goals already achieved by FRH clients include running half and full marathons, returning to pre-pregnancy shape, relearning how to walk after a debilitating bout of cancer, and staying at the top ranks of elite national dance competition.
For those clients who already have a highly-established level of conditioning, FRH can be a great tool to expand levels of fitness and skill by focusing on the specific environmental conditions that shape performance on the playing field or battlefield. An in-depth needs analysis will determine what aspects of performance can still be increased—and that may not be addressed in a client’s existing training program—to maximize athletic potential and to achieve optimal goal execution. Some of these more sophisticated programming variables include information-processing and reaction time, pairing appropriate actions (output) with sensory information (input), and understanding how to focus only on relevant cues in the environment. Preparation at this level of detail can mean the difference between an athlete winning first or second place or a first responder saving or losing a life.
